ONE EVOLVING CULTURE.

Before FUTUREMAG became a global platform for music and culture, it began with a simple idea: document the artists, sounds and experiences shaping electronic music from the places where they were happening.

Between 2022 and 2023, four editions built the foundation of the magazine. Each one centered around a different moment, destination and movement within electronic music culture.

#01 — ZAMNA FESTIVAL

October 2022

The beginning.

Our first edition introduced FUTUREMAG through Zamna Festival and the world surrounding one of Tulum’s most influential electronic music experiences.

It established the magazine’s first visual and editorial language, connecting artists, nightlife and the culture emerging from the Riviera Maya.

#02 — THE SPIRIT OF TULUM

February 2023

The second edition went deeper into the place that helped shape our identity.

The Spirit of Tulum explored the relationship between music, nature, nightlife and the people creating the culture around one of Mexico’s most recognizable destinations.

Published in both English and Spanish, the edition expanded FUTUREMAG’s voice and audience.

#03 — AFTERLIFE

June 2023

With its third edition, FUTUREMAG turned its attention to one of the most influential movements in contemporary electronic music.

Afterlife became the central theme of the edition, exploring the sound, visual identity and culture surrounding the global techno phenomenon.

Once again published in English and Spanish, the issue marked another step forward in the evolution of the magazine.

#04 — ZAMNA MEXICO CITY

November 2023

The fourth edition brought FUTUREMAG back to Zamna, this time through its Mexico City chapter.

Zamna Mexico City continued the magazine’s exploration of electronic music culture while expanding the story beyond its Tulum origins.

By the end of 2023, four editions had established the foundation for what FUTUREMAG could become.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

These editions are more than archived magazines.

They are a record of where FUTUREMAG started and a reminder of how quickly music culture evolves.

From Tulum to Mexico City, from Zamna to Afterlife, each edition captured a different moment in electronic music and helped shape the identity of the magazine.

Now, FUTUREMAG enters its next chapter with a broader vision.
