KOROLOVA is a Ukrainian international DJ and one of the best techno DJs in Ukraine. Her tracks are released on the world's best labels and reach the top of the Beatport charts. As one of the most influential female artists of these times, she shared with us her beginnings, her growth, her latest tours and much more.
"Where there's a will, there's a way. When there's no will, there are excuses."

How was your growth process in your artistic career?
I've been into music since early childhood. To be exact, I started playing the piano when I was six. My career as a DJ began ten years ago as a resident in a nightclub, and my first international tours happened at the same time.
What did KOROLOVA do before becoming a DJ?
Before I became a DJ, I was into dancing. I was a professional dancer and performed at the biggest festivals. I was a member of the Sensation White ballet. I would watch big-name DJs work the crowd, and the reaction of the people was amazing. That's when I realized I wanted to take the DJ's place.
What does it mean to you to be one of the most influential DJs in Ukraine?
I'm happy to represent my country on the international stage. I always raise the flag of Ukraine during my shows. I'm so proud to be Ukrainian.
What has been the biggest difficulty in climbing the career ladder?
My way was long. Sometimes I thought about stopping and doing something else, something that brings more money. But my passion and love for music never let me quit, and I moved forward. The hardest thing was to keep following my dream no matter what.
What do you think about the scene?
After the COVID-19 pandemic many clubs closed, but what we can see now is a real boom in the clubbing industry. So many huge events, and clubs are full of people who missed parties so much. But I'm also afraid of a new crisis coming soon.
Who is your favorite DJ?
I can't single out one person. There are so many artists I'm friends with whose sound I love. But I can mention a few names: I'm fond of what Tale Of Us, Vintage Culture, CamelPhat, Meduza and Massano are creating.
How would you define your career, and how did you start filming mixes in the best locations?
Nowadays I'm satisfied with how my career has developed: worldwide tours and many fans, whom I value and love so much. I'm really happy.
I started creating mixes during the COVID-19 pandemic. We all stayed home and couldn't perform, so I decided to keep sharing music through mixes. We shot the first one in Cappadocia, Turkey, and it received great feedback, so we decided to keep going and film each new one in the places we visit.
Lifestyle and tips
My lifestyle is simple: family always comes first. I love sports, working a lot and, of course, reaching my goals. Never stop dreaming and never give up!

How was your last visit to Mexico, Tulum and the Riviera Maya?
I was greatly impressed by Mexico. We had a really successful party with a huge crowd in Mexico City. And of course, Tulum captured my heart with its nature and unique vibes.
