Some parties end at sunrise. Others stays forever For Adriatique, Tulum has turned into the second kind, and X Forever lands back in the jungle on Friday, January 8, 2027.
The Swiss duo has made the Mexican Caribbean one of the most important stops on their calendar. Every January, the same question runs through the scene: will X return? This season, as Zamna celebrates ten years in Tulum, the answer feels bigger than ever.
Two Adrians, one sound
Adriatique is Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, a house and techno duo from Switzerland with more than a decade behind the decks. Their sound is cinematic and emotional, built on slow tension, long build ups and atmospheric detail that rewards patience on the dancefloor.
They have released on labels like Afterlife and Diynamic, and they run their own imprint, Siamese. Their sets balance melodic introspection with real club power, which is exactly why they have become one of the defining names of modern melodic techno.
What is X
X is Adriatique's own world. It is not just a party but a full concept where music, architecture and visual identity meet in a futuristic, design driven space. Every edition reshapes the venue around it, so the room feels like part of the set.
X has landed in cities like New York, Ibiza and Amsterdam. Each time the idea is the same: break the pattern and pull the crowd into something unknown. Surprise guests and carefully curated support acts are part of the experience, which keeps every night feeling like a one off.
X in the jungle
Tulum gave X a setting no city club can match. Zamna Tulum sits on 11 hectares of jungle with its own open air cenote, and when the sun goes down the whole site becomes part of the production. Light, sound and nature blend until sunrise.
The last edition took place on January 7, 2026, and it marked the third appearance of X at Zamna. Adriatique headlined a lineup with Joseph Capriati, Mind Against, Julya Karma and Orsay, and tickets moved fast from one release to the next. Three years in, X is no longer a guest in Tulum. It is part of the season.
Ten years of Zamna, and X Forever
The timing could not be better. Zamna is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a ten day season in Tulum, from December 31, 2026 to January 10, 2027. Over the last decade the festival has hosted names like Black Coffee, Tale Of Us, Keinemusik, Solomun, Anyma and, of course, Adriatique.
Bringing X back for this milestone season feels like closing a circle. The jungle where Zamna began is the same place where X found its second home. FutureMag will be following every announcement, and we will be there when the lights go down.
X Forever takes over Zamna Tulum on Friday, January 8, 2027. Adriatique lead a lineup with Kotiër, Mind Against, Sama and a hybrid DJ set from WhoMadeWho, a bill built to carry the night from the first drop to the last light of sunrise.
